Colorado's Slow Start Costs Them in Dallas

The Colorado Avalanche fell 5-3 to the Dallas Stars on Thursday night, extending their losing streak to three games. The Avalanche were outshot 41-27 and allowed the Stars to score three unanswered goals in the second period. Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and Valeri Nichushkin scored for the Avalanche, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Stars' strong start.

Slow Start Dooms Avalanche
